Open Wineries on Saint Martin's Day in total relax: just forget your car and get onboard Wine Bus!
Save the date: 8 November 2020. Winebus of Open Wineries on Saint Martin’s Day is back!
A special Wine Bus will be departing from the Infopoint in Udine (Piazza I Maggio) to take passengers to three wineries in the province of Udine in total safety for a single daily tour (9.30 am – 6.30 pm).
First stop at the Grillo Iole winery in Albana di Prepotto, located on the gentle hills of the DOC wine appellation area Colli Orientali del Friuli. The estate includes a 17th century villa whose ancient masonry have been recently renovated. Winery tour and guided tasting of the wines produced by the winery, including the renowned Schioppettino di Prepotto, also known as Ribolla Nera.
Transfer to Isola Augusta (Palazzolo dello Stella), located in a charming little hamlet, to taste their great wines. Before the winery tour, Wine Bus passengers will enjoy the Open Wineries on Saint Martin’s Day Lunch, a wine and food tasting guided by the winemakers, with excellent wines alongside seasonal dishes.
In the afternoon, the bus will head to Premariacco to visit Rocca Bernarda, one of the most ancient wineries in the DOC wine appellation area Colli Orientali del Friuli, founded in 1559. Wine tasting and optional roast chestnut (additional charge) surrounded by a beautiful landscape of old cypresses and vines.
Open Wineries on Saint Martin's Day is an opportunity to chat with passionate winemakers about the last vintage and admire the warm colours of Autumn.
Thanks to Wine Bus you'll be able to enjoy the day in total relax and safety, in full compliance with the Covid-19 related regulations, and without the inconvenience of driving your car!
The fee for the Wine Bus is € 40,00, but you will have a reduction of 10€ if you join Wine Club!
The fee includes:
- 3 guided tours and tastings
- Open Wineries on Saint Martin's Day Lunch (starter and first course, each combined with a wine)
- Tour leader
- Transport onboard an ozone-sanitised comfortable bus
